Copy of email received from  SYFA on 25th Feb

Hi all,

This email has been sent to all small-sided league secretaries.

Thank you for your continued hard work in getting your teams over the line, I’d also like to thank those staff members included in this email for the thousands of player and official approvals over the last 3 months.

We are aware of several teams who are still to be compliant so would like to remind you that the below must have occurred for a team to have a fixture this coming weekend:

  1. Confirmed status
    1. This means you have approved the team, and they have paid their SYFA membership
  2. A number above the player entries
    1. This refers to approved players for that team ID
  3. A number above the official entries
    1. This means the team are compliant in terms of who is required
    2. We are aware some leagues may have stricter checks afterwards, this stage is SYFA compliant.

This section here allows you to see a report of the teams in a competition.

We have run another report yesterday with officials to be checked and after 1 working day we already have more rejections than approvals – please ask your teams to check their catalogue entries.

This section allows them to see the rejection notification if they missed the email:

Please shout about this as many have been sitting for weeks without action.

We check BACS payments every few days and catch any not paying through COMET, this will manually change approved to confirmed.

It is automatic for those paying through COMET.

A few leagues have mentioned using COMET for fixtures and teamlines, this can only occur if there is only 1 squad per team ID.

The multiple squads within one Team ID rule is not common in football and cannot be introduced through COMET.

We hope many fixtures can go ahead this weekend with ease.

Kind Regards,
